0-Defect Backlog: Too good to be true?
Speaker: Ayesha David & Seth Eggleston
Happy New Year KCQAA! It's resolution time and who among us has never wistfully dreamed of a 0-defect backlog at work? This month, you should feel confident to make that resolution and meet that goal if you come to January's meeting to learn how one group did get to a 0-defect backlog.
  • Let's get down to 0 defect backlog, but wait! where do we even begin?
  • What can we do different to improve the overall quality of our development?
  • Once we get to 0, how do we maintain it?
  • What can I do to make a difference?
If you ever asked these questions or find these challenging to answer, then come join Ayesha & Seth and listen to ideas to take back to your team.
In this talk Ayesha & Seth will share their team's story of achieving and maintaining a 0-defect backlog as it takes a team effort. Focus and determination to do their best in their day-to-day work, translating into value for our clients.
We will look into details of how we manage client reported issues, run break-it sessions, measure development quality and reporting.
Finally, we will discuss the cultivating culture from design to development, testing to deployment and facets of a team that contributes to the success.
Ayesha is a Team Lead and Lead Test Analyst and Seth Eggleston is a Test Analyst and Certified ISTQB Agile Tester. They work in the LightsOn group at Cerner, which provides enterprise-level data analytics to maximize the value of Cerner's EHR.
